FROM THE PELLIZZI FAMILY COLLECTIONS
on view at MANA CONTEMPORARY, 2014

Italian anthropologist Francesco Pellizzi has amassed a trove of ethnographic art and artifacts over the past four decades. This catalog highlights his singular assemblage showcased in the exhibition From the Pellizzi Family Collections, featuring work by Chuck Connelly, Francesco Clemente, George Condo, Julio Galán, and Daniel Lezama. Like Pellizzi’s collection itself, the exhibition’s themes span mysticism, mythology, history, and romanticism.
